Seminar title
Some examples of occupational health issues in the land of William Tell, chocolate, watches and banks
Speaker
Christian Voirol, associate professor in the Department of Psychology and the Department of Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine at the Université de Montréal; professor in charge of applied research at the Haute École Arc Santé in Neuchâtel (Switzerland); engineer, occupational psychologist, ergonomist and occupational hygienist, Christian Voirol studies how psychosocial factors influence the health of individuals and organizations. He specializes in the early detection of risky situations and in the implementation of intervention strategies to prevent them.
After 15 years in Quebec, Christian Voirol returned to Switzerland. Specialized in the prevention of psychosocial risks (PSR) at work, he has been carrying out organizational interventions for more than 20 years, both in Switzerland and in Quebec. However, legislative, organizational and cultural differences influence the format and impact of its interventions. Without making it a real field of research, he nevertheless wishes to share with the participants in this presentation, his reflections on the effects of the context on his interventions.
Host:
Alain Marchand, researcher at the IRSPUM and full professor at the School of Industrial Relations of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, University of Montreal.
