Occupation forces raid home of Tel Aviv attack perpetrator and interrogate family members

The occupation forces raided the home of the perpetrator of the Tel Aviv attack and interrogated his family

Yesterday, Friday night, the Israeli police and intelligence forces stormed the house of the perpetrator of the run-over attack in Tel Aviv, Youssef Abu Jaber (45 years), in the town of Kafr Qassem in the Palestinian interior.

One person, an Italian tourist, was killed, and at least 7 others were injured, in a shooting and run-over attack on Koifman Street in Tel Aviv, on Friday evening, according to what was published by the Israeli Occupation Army Radio, while the bomber was killed.

The police raided Abu Jaber’s house, confiscated some of his belongings, and led some of his family members to an investigation at Kafr Qasim police station, before releasing them.

Abu Jaber is married and has five daughters, the eldest of whom is 18 years old, and he used to work in a gift shop in Kafr Qassem. The occupation police stated that there is no security background on him.

The head of the People’s Committee in Kafr Qassem, Sa’ed Issa, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Abu Jaber had no political agenda or activity, and his specifications did not match the “profile” of someone who wanted to carry out a security operation, which initially caused confusion. , before the occupation intelligence confirmed his identity after examining his fingerprints, stressing that his family was in a state of complete shock.

Issa alluded to the possibility that what happened was an accident or Abu Jaber losing control of his car, especially since there was talk of a weapon and gunfire, at a time when it became clear that Abu Jaber was not armed, saying: “It is very important that we wait for the investigation.”

It is noteworthy that the Israeli ambulance (Magen David Adom) confirmed on Friday evening that the Italian killed in the Tel Aviv attack “was killed by bullets, not by a run-over operation, and the perpetrator did not fire any bullet.”

In another context, Abu Issa said that yesterday’s operation and the so-called “price tag” operations resulted in burning two vehicles and writing racist graffiti in a mountainous area in Kafr Qassem, suggesting that a group of settlers that carried out attacks on the city in the past were behind it.

Yesterday evening, Friday, the Israeli ambulance counted the death of one person and the wounding of 7 others, in the shooting and run-over operation inside the city of Tel Aviv. Hebrew media said that a run-over operation took place immediately after the shooting, and it is suspected that the perpetrator was one person. Other Israeli media published pictures and videos of a vehicle that overturned, claiming that it was the vehicle of the perpetrator of the attack.

Channel 12 indicated that the person who was killed in the operation was a tourist who came to visit Israel, and the Occupation Army Radio confirmed that the dead man was an Italian tourist, while the wounded were from a group of Italian and English tourists.
