The Ephorate of Antiquities of Ioannina participates within the celebration of Worldwide Museum Day 2024 with the theme “Museums for Training and Analysis” by implementing the next actions:
Archaeological Museum of Ioannina
Live performance of the “Do Re Mi” Youth Orchestra of the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina, on Saturday, Could 18, at 7:00 p.m., within the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum of Ioannina. Gerasimos Lolis is the creative director. The occasion is held in collaboration with the Municipality of Ioannito. Free entrance.
Live performance of strings entitled “Within the Baroque period”, by the music faculty of Konstantinos Leontaris, on Sunday 19 Could 2024, at 18.30. The musicians Konstantinos Leontaris, Evripidis Pappas, Marina Vlachou, Spyros Siliras (Violin), Alexandros Dimos (Viola), Theodoros Skourtis, Anthi Pantosti (Cello) are taking part. Free entrance.
Thematic tour of the brand new periodical exhibition of the Archaeological Museum of Ioannina, entitled “Vasilis Charisis. (Re)shaping areas of life and historical past”, on Friday, Could 17, at 11:00. The architectural work of Vassilis Harisis from Ioannina, included restorations of historic and Byzantine monuments and conventional buildings, configurations of monumental ensembles and historic locations, interventions in open-air public areas, design of latest private and non-private buildings. The tour will probably be performed by archaeologist Hara Kappa. Free entrance.
Byzantine Museum of Ioannina
