Obstacles to the elderly | Letters to the Editor | Opinion

Adulthood should not be an impediment to work, study, health, loan, credit.

Reaching the third age, a tremendous problem if we do not amass money or a retirement pension; banks do not offer credit, companies do not provide work, entities that must watch over the elderly do not provide assistance.

We want to start a business, we go to banks and the maximum age to get credit is 65 years. Cancel this attack on adults who, thanks to God, have gained experience and are still ready to continue our passage through this world. Review the banking policies, give the opportunity to continue being subject to credits; Banco del Pacífico –the Government– extended its policy to 70 years. Apply article 5 numerals 1, 2, 3 of the Organic Law of Older Adults. Superintendency of Banks annuls the discrimination of the age to access a credit. Adulthood should not be an impediment to work, study, training, health, sports, loans, bank loans. The Constitution says that no one is discriminated against because of age, race, culture, creed.
