OBSERVED & DEALED – Zell im Wiesental

BLOOD DONOR

Cross Engagement

At the recent municipal council meeting in Wieden, the municipal councilor Michael Fischer was honored for the proud number of 75 blood donations. He received the blood donor pin in gold and a certificate for his commitment. The resident citizen Richard Walleser, who was not present at the meeting, was also honored with the golden blood donor pin. He has already attended 50 blood donation appointments. Wiedens Mayor Annette Franz found appropriate words for this important commitment in the service of the next. “Human life is in the blood, every blood donation saves human life, here you can achieve great things with a small spade”, Annette Franz praised the diligent blood donors.ZELL ACTIVE

New light boxes

Luminous change on the Sparkassenplatz in Zell: Since mid-December 2020, the “Active Zell” working group has set up another embellishment project in downtown Zell. Five large-format light boxes were installed on Sparkassenplatz with the financial support of the citizens’ association, the Sparkasse and the city of Zell. The old wooden showcases of the trade association, which could only be seen over the Christmas period, have now been replaced by five modern aluminum frames. These are now available all year round and surprise with seasonal, regional themes from Zell im Wiesental. The topic “Zeller Fasnacht” is currently presented. The project managers Michael Gehri and Dominika Anti thank especially for the commitment of those involved: Andrea Kpfer and Sabine Rudiger, who were actively supported by Peter Zluhan and Christoph Rudiger and his team from the Fasnachtsgesellschaft Zell. “We are particularly pleased that Ms. Kpfer will continue to take over the design of the other series of pictures and that those involved so far have confirmed their further support.” With this joint investment of around 13,000 euros, another small step has been taken to beautify the city center. Under the motto ‘just do it!’ The city marketing team is looking forward to many more campaigns that will be tackled this year, according to the press release from the Mayor of Zell, Peter Palme.
