Obligatory win: The “Adler” also won the Pioneers! – EC iDM heat pumps VSV

The blue and whites are also unstoppable with the Pioneers and win an emotionally charged match with 2:3 goals. The goals for the “Adler” were scored by Blaz Tomazevic, Arturs Kulda and Robert Sabolic.

In the third minute of the game, Andreas Heier gave the Vorarlberg team an early lead with their first attack. But the “Adler” reacted promptly, just three minutes later Blaz Tomazevic pushed the puck over the line to equalize 1:1. Then there was a controversial scene: after a stab in front of the goal by VSV goalie JP Lamoureux, the puck landed in the net. After the intervention of VSV head coach Rob Daum, the referees watched the game scene again on the video and finally decided on no goal. In return, ten seconds before the end, Anthony Luciani single-handedly had the Villach lead on the racket, but was denied by Pioneers goalie David Madlener.

In the middle section, Dominik Prodinger had a great chance to take the lead after a few minutes, but his shot just missed the home team’s goal. The blue and whites increased the tempo and created more good chances through Alexander Rauchenwald, Anthony Luciani and Blaz Tomazevic, but Madlener was able to stand out again and again with strong saves. In the 27th minute, however, the time had come: Maximilian Rebernig put Arturs Kulda in the limelight perfectly with his backhand, who didn’t take long to ask and slammed the puck into the far corner – 1:2 (27th). The next goal was only two minutes later: This time John Hughes staged his line colleague Robert Sabolic, who put the target in the net to take a 1:3 lead with a onetimer. But the Vorarlbergers were also allowed to celebrate – just 15 seconds later, Pallestrang scored the goal to make it 2:3 (28th). Much more than a few penalties after a tussle followed by a boxing match between Andrew Desjardins and Erne Luca didn’t happen in this third, the Villachers trudged into the dressing room with a 2:3 lead at the second break.

In the final section, the blue and whites really pushed the pace, especially at the beginning, constricted the home team in their own third of defense. As a result, Rauchenwald and Co. continued to dominate the action, played the match home dry and got the 11th victory in the twelfth match in a row.
