The unidentified object that was observed flying over Canada on Saturday has been shot down, says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
– I ordered the shooting down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. NORAD shot down the object over the Yukon. Both Canadian and American planes were sent out, and the object was shot down by an American F-22, the Prime Minister writes in a Twitter message Saturday.
NORAD is the abbreviation for North American Aerospace Defense Command, which is a US-Canadian defense cooperation.
Spoke with Biden
Earlier on Saturday, an unidentified flying object was observed at high altitude over Canada.
– I spoke with President Biden this afternoon. Canadian forces will now retrieve and analyze the wreckage, Trudeau writes further.
This happens the day after the US shot down another unidentified flying object that was observed over Alaska. US President Joe Biden ordered the shooting.
Third object in a short time
It is already known that the balloon that was shot down on Friday was much smaller than the large Chinese balloon that was recently shot down off the coast of South Carolina.
What is not known about the object that has now been identified is related to the object that was shot down on Friday or the Chinese balloon.
