Hugh “Reg” Tyo, passed into the hands of our Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2023, surrounded by his family in Calgary.
Until the very end, Reg kept his sense of humour, his commitment to the Catholic Church, and most of all his love for family, he will be deeply missed.
Reg was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 57 years. He was also an avid volunteer at many organizations throughout the years.
Reg was predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend of 52 years Marion Tyo, and his siblings Cecil (Ola) Tyo, Jack (Dorothy) Tyo, Jane (Stan Iwachniuk) all of Cornwall and Kay (John Merrill) of Massena NY.
Reg is survived by his daughters, Janet Boszormenyi and Catherine Tyo, and his grandsons, Robert (Laura), Steven and Mark, all of Calgary; his son Paul (Sherry and Tanner) of Moose Creek, ON; and his sister-in-law Carol (John) of St. George, ON.
Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Friday March 17th from 11am -1pm. Burial to follow at Hope Cemetery.
