Oberliga approval: Green light for a domestic quintet

How promoted and relegated teams are determined when the new season can begin – because of the Corona crisis, everything is open in amateur football. The clubs are still preparing for possible scenarios – and two domestic national league teams would be promoted to the top division if they submitted their license documents: the SSV Vorsfelde and the SSV Kästorf.

The third in the table (Kästorf) and the fourth (Vorsfelde) from the Braunschweig State League were granted the same conditions as the leaders SVG Göttingen. The second TSC Vahdet Braunschweig is the fourth club from this league that would rise if the worst came to the worst. Vahdet then has to have his venue accepted.

VfL Wolfsburg II should also be in the top division

He also got the green light VfL Wolfsburg IIwho has nothing to do with relegation to the Oberliga in the Regional League.

The current top division also had their documents MTV Gifhorn and Lupo / Martini Wolfsburg submitted. Both got the ok from the association. Lupo still has to prove the certification of a security officer. “This is not a problem, we are basically well positioned with two security officers”says board member Domenico Lucanto. The date for schooling came, then Corona came. “As soon as there is a new appointment, our representatives will take care of it,” says board member Luciano Mileo.

Now it’s not just Lupo waiting to decide how and when to continue. For this long, the planning with the Italians is largely on hold. Lennart Gutsche wants clarity in order to be able to hold further discussions, but praises the team spirit among the Wolfsburgers. “I have to take my hat off to the boys. No one whined around.” The sporting director had not yet been able to talk to everyone about the future due to the corona pandemic.

The following NFV associations have received approval for the 2020/2021 season:
