With this strategic acquisition, the Austrian media publisher, which includes brands such as medium magazin, kress, PR Report and the European Publishing Congress, is expanding its previous position in the media and communications industry. “This takeover allows us to move into marketing and advertising. Daniel Zumhasch, insolvency administrator of BG Germany GmbH, is also relieved to have found a reliable partner in the media publisher Oberauer after the failed takeover attempt by former managing director Timo Busch, which offers the media brand and the dedicated editorial team a promising future perspective.
The income from sales also ensures the long-term continuation of the other titles published under the umbrella of BG Germany GmbH, including BlickpunktFilm, Digital Production, GamesMarkt and MusikWoche. “The takeover ensures that the existing platform structures can be further expanded.
