Barack and Michelle Obama personally congratulated the makers of the documentary “American Factory” on Twitter for their Oscar. Directors Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert have told “a moving story about the very human consequences of rapid economic changes,” wrote the former US president.
Michelle Obama also gave praises: “So glad to see that her heart and honesty were recognized.” The film is the first to be supported by Obama’s production company, Higher Ground Production. “American Factory” is a Netflix documentary about the people in a Ohio state factory.
