“The World’s Worst Man” has already received international recognition, when Renate Reinsve received the award for best female actress during the film festival in Cannes.
Oscar nomination
This is the first time a Norwegian feature film has won an award in the most prestigious program at Cannes.
Several media outlets also predict that she is an outsider to get one Oscar nomination next year. The film was also named Best Foreign Language Film of the Year by the New York Film Critics Circle.
The film is the third and final in director Joachim Trier’s Oslo trilogy, which already contains «Reprise» (2006) and «Oslo, 31 August» (2011).
The film is about Julie, who despite being a cool, funny and smart woman, staggers through life and has a hard time deciding how and with whom she wants to live.
