Krefeld. The Krefeld Heinrichsschule has a new director, Emily Carr. Lord Mayor Frank Meyer officially welcomed the new headmistress together with Jürgen Maas, head of the school department, and school authority director Marita Koblenz-Lüschow.

41-year-old Emily Carr was born in Bremen. After graduating from high school in 1999, she completed her teaching degree at the Wilhelmsuniversität in Münster. For the subsequent legal traineeship she came to the community elementary school (GGS) Wimmersweg in Krefeld. There she began her active school career as a teacher from February 2008. In August 2014, Emily Carr became Vice President at GGS Buscher Holzweg. Four years later she was partially seconded to the Heinrichsschule to take on the duties of school management. She was then appointed rector on probation at the end of 2019.
