OAXACA, Oax., October 1 (EL UNIVERSAL).- This morning, teachers from Section 22 of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) marched in the city of Oaxaca to reject the arrival of Mario Delgado as head of Education, within the framework of the inauguration of the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
The march, according to the union leadership, has the objective of establishing the union’s position regarding the beginning of a new federal administration, in which the education workers do not agree with the appointment of Mario Delgado to the in front of the Ministry of Education (SEP).
Section 22, likewise, called on 20% of its bases to march in Mexico City, in the vicinity of the San Cosme Metro, to the Juárez Hemicycle, in order to make their demands visible, in the country’s capital, during the takeover. protest by Sheinbaum Pardo.
According to the union leader, teacher Yenni Pérez Martínez, the outgoing president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, was left in debt to the teaching profession, since he did not comply with the repeal of the Educational Reform.
