Oasis Market announced on the 11th that sales in 2023 were KRW 115.9 billion, a 12% increase from the same period last year, and a record high for the quarter. Operating profit during the same period increased by 39% compared to the same period last year, recording KRW 3.8 billion.
Net profit for the year was KRW 3.4 billion, up 124% from the same period last year. Oasis Markets said that it has achieved meaningful results in the e-commerce industry, which is difficult to make a profit.
As a result, Oasis Market’s cumulative sales in the first half of 2023 were 230 billion won and operating profit was 4.7 billion won. In the first half, sales increased by 14% compared to the previous year, but operating profit decreased by 34%. Net profit for the first half of the year was 5.2 billion won, up 60% from the previous year.
The reason for the year-on-year decrease in operating profit in the first half of this year is that marketing expenses increased due to preparations for the initial public offering (IPO), which was carried out until the first quarter of this year. Oasis Market recorded the highest operating profit in the first quarter of last year by minimizing marketing costs along with the rapid growth of the e-commerce market. Since the second quarter of last year, it has started an IPO and has gradually increased marketing expenses.
Oasis Market said, “We were able to achieve good results through synergy with collaborating companies and strengthen internal stability by focusing on the essence of the business of early morning delivery.” ”he said.
Meanwhile, Oasis Market has been in the black for 11 years since its establishment in 2011.
