The Electoral Observation Mission (MOE) of the Organization of American States (OAS) began its deployment in Salvadoran territory for the municipal and deputy elections for the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), to be held this Sunday, February 3. The international entity designated 30 observers for the different voting points.
“The Electoral Observation Mission (MOE) of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the municipal elections and deputations to the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN) on March 3 in El Salvador, led by the former Vice President and former Chancellor of Panama Isabel de Saint Malo, began its activities in the country,” the entity reported.
The OAS EOM is made up of 30 people from 14 countries, and is already observing preparations for Sunday’s elections. In addition, a group of experts was appointed to carry out an analysis on issues related to the process such as electoral organization and technology, electoral justice, and women’s political participation.
