Vienna Carnival and Pink concert
Vienna (OTS) – The ÖAMTC experts fear traffic jams around the Prater and in the city center on Sunday, July 2nd. 1,500 participants are expected at the “Vienna Carnival” event from around 3:00 p.m. The route will take you from Praterstern via Praterstrasse – Aspernbrückengasse – Aspernbrücke – Ringstrasse – Burgtor to Heldenplatz. There will be delays around the Praterstern, on Schüttelstrasse and Untere Donaustrasse, on Franz-Josefs-Kai, on the approaches to the Ring and on the Ring itself. Since experience has shown that many guests flock to the Prater on the first holiday weekend, the ÖAMTC strongly recommends using public transport.
On Saturday and Sunday evening, the influx to the Pink concert at the Ernst Happel Stadium will be very strong. Visitors should use the U1 and U2 subways. The passage through the Prater is blocked on weekends via the Stadionallee. According to the ÖAMTC, traffic jams on Handelskai and Meiereistraße as well as in front of the Handelskai exits from the A23 cannot be ruled out at times.
