OAKLAND – One person was killed and seven others were injured after a shooting Monday night, police said.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 5900 block of MacArthur Boulevard shortly after 6 pm and when they got there, they learned that multiple people were shooting.
Officers saw several casings, but there were no victims at the scene. Soon after, police learned that several victims had self-transported to various hospitals in the area.
The seven injured are in stable condition, police said.
So far, they have not revealed the identity of the person who died.
