GCommunity and cohesion have always characterized the Rural Youth as the largest youth organization in rural areas. But the young boys and girls never forget about people who need help.
This year, the rural youth district of Scheibbs once again contributed 4,500 euros to the fundraising campaign for the Ö3 Christmas miracle, thereby contributing to the new record result of 115,280 euros that the rural youth of Lower Austria and Upper Austria handed over together (the NÖN reported).
“We wanted to support people who are not doing so well during this difficult time,” explains chairman Michael Schadenhofer. “Baking cookies is simply part of the pre-Christmas season,” says manager Natalie Scharner, adding to the campaign. Local groups across the country were called upon to raise funds among their members and in their communities. As a thank you to the donors, cookies in a rural youth design were baked in the two largest federal states in Austria.
