“O2 Launches New NEO+ Tariffs with Unlimited 5G Data and O2 Security”

The operator O2 has updated the current offer of NEO tariffs, which this time bear the designation NEO+. The unifying element of the new tariffs is service Data naplno, which will make it possible to access unlimited internet at the maximum 5G speed supported by O2, for 24 hours several times during the month, up to five times during one billing period. The specific number of days depends on the amount of the monthly tariff.

“We can see from the statistics that our customers have become accustomed to fully dating anytime and anywhere. Year-on-year data consumption in the mobile network is growing rapidly, doubling year by year. At the same time, we see higher data consumption during the holidays when customers are not within range of their home or work Wi-Fi,” says Silvia Cieslarová, director of O2’s mobile services segment, adding: “What our customers want is unlimited mobile data, whenever they need it. This was also confirmed by independent research by Kantar. We have therefore decided to add full Data to all our tariffs.“

In practice, it will work in such a way that each tariff will contain a certain number of activations of the Data in full service. Basic tariff NEO+ Modrý 3x, other tariffs 5x, with the highest tariff of course the Internet remains at full speed for the whole month without restrictions. The customer himself chooses the day that suits him best, when he fully activates Data. You activate it through the My O2 application and it is always valid for 24 hours. From now on, the customer can download without restrictions, as well as at unlimited speeds. If you happen to want more of these days, each additional full day can be purchased for CZK 49.

Silvia Cieslarová adds to this: “Thanks to Full Data, our customers can enjoy an extra portion of unlimited data on the fastest 5G mobile network. Whether they need to stream music, favorite movies and series or post on social networks. But most of all, they don’t have to worry that they will run out.“

The NEO+ tariffs will fully replace the FREE+ tariffs and the original NEO without obligation. The O2 YOU and My First tariffs remain on offer. This change will also affect existing customers of the original FREE+ and NEO tariffs, who will be transferred on July 1, 2023. Until this time, they will be able to take full advantage of the Data service even in the current tariffs under the existing conditions, so they have a month to try the service, starting tomorrow. Despite the advantage of the Data service in its entirety, this means that most customers pay an extra fee of around CZK 50 between generations. In the same way, O2 adds extra data for basic tariffs, 1 GB of data for the basic “blue” tariff, 2 GB of extra data for the “bronze” tariff.

O2 Security for O2 together for free

The more people get used to dating and moving in the online space, the more the number and intensity of cyber threats increases. O2’s statistics show that even ordinary Internet users are facing cyberattacks more and more often. For the fourth year, it has been offering its customers the O2 Security service, which protects against infected websites, fraudulent e-shops and other threats on the Internet. In 2022 alone, O2 Security protected customers from more than 387 million security threats, the number of which continues to double every six months. This is a solution both for mobile services at a price of 39 crowns per month per tariff, and for fixed services at 59 crowns per month.

The operator is adding the O2 Security service to all O2 Spolu packages for even better device protection. This brings an additional advantage to its customers. “By combining the services into the O2 Spolu package, our customers not only get a price discount on the tariffs themselves, but also automatically include the O2 Security service in the price. This is then used to protect all their services, both mobile and fixed tariffs that customers have in the package,adds Silvia Cieslarová.
