NYSDOL creates social media in Spanish – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORKThe New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL, for its acronym in English) announced the launch of its new accounts of Facebook y Twitter entirely in Spanish in search of expanding accessibility for Spanish-speaking New Yorkers.

In an already completely digitized world, these new tools were created for the purpose of:

  • Job opportunities in New York
  • Stay up-to-date with important changes
  • Job Training Information
  • Stay informed about worker rights and protections
  • unemployment insurance
  • immigration policies

Aside from these options, the NYSDOL said other important job resources will be offered.

These pages will also provide updates and information on COVID-19, as well as New York State programs and resources geared toward Spanish-speaking workers and families.

“We have been dealing with a number of challenges in recent years, and social media has been an essential tool in keeping New Yorkers up to date in real time,” said New York State Department of Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon.
