NEW YORK – A two-car collision in Manhattan early Wednesday morning killed two pedestrians and injured five others, three of them seriously, authorities say.
Few details were immediately available. According to a preliminary investigation, two vehicles may have collided head-on near 207th Street on Sherman Avenue in the Inwood area around 4 am One of those vehicles apparently struck several parked cars and pedestrians, police said.
Two men, one in his 40s and one in his 31s, both pedestrians, were killed. It is not clear if the three seriously injured are drivers or pedestrians. The other two victims are expected to survive. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
