NEW YORK – Authorities are on the trail of two suspects in stealing jewelry valued at more than 10,000 residences in Queens.
So far, 6 incidents have been reported where the alleged thieves enter the houses by force and manage to steal jewelry, most of the time.
The first incident was reported on August 21, around 10:40 a.m., when the suspects entered the house located near 25th Avenue and 143rd Street and stole jewelry and cash before fleeing the scene.
The second incident occurred almost a month later, on September 15, at a house located on Whitestone Expressway and 143rd Street, where the subjects allegedly entered through the second-floor window, but were unable to take anything. That same day, about two hours later, around 11:00 pm, one of the suspects tried to break into another house on 147th Street and 15th Drive but was unable to get anything out.
The fourth event was reported on September 22, around 2:00 pm, an individual would have entered the residence located on 20th avenue and 147th street through a window and took jewelry valued at about $ 1,500 before fleeing the place.
Another alleged robbery was reported Oct. 7 at the residence located at 72 Road and Grand Central Parkway when the suspect broke into a bedroom window. Upon entering, jewelry valued at about $ 11,300 was stolen. Then the suspect would have escaped in a van.
The most recent incident was reported on October 23, this time the two suspects would have entered an apartment located at 75 Road and Queens Boulevard. However, they would have come away empty-handed.
One of the suspects was last seen wearing a red and black jacket. The second was last seen wearing a white hooded diver.
