NYPD Seeking Help in Finding Man Who Assaulted Women on Trains

NEW YORKNew York City Police are seeking help finding a man they say hit several women on trains and subway platforms in Brooklyn.

The suspect, who has not been identified, has attacked at least four times in different parts of the county. The most recent attack was on Friday, when police said they approached a 53-year-old woman on a 2 train at the station Flatbush Avenue in South Midwood.

He allegedly punched her several times in the face before fleeing. Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured.

This followed two similar incidents on October 28, one aboard a southbound R train at the station 95th Street in Bay Ridge and the other on a northbound 3 train at the station Hoyt Street in downtown Brooklyn, according to police.

In both incidents, the victims were punched in the head or face and one of the women was taken to the hospital for treatment.

There was an additional incident on October 31, when a woman was waiting on the northbound 2/4 platform at Park Slope. A man also punched him in the face before running out of the station.

The suspect is described as a man with black hair, a beard and mustache.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, in Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their suggestions by logging into the Crime Stoppers website.
