NEW YORKPolice are looking for the people they say are behind at least 18 pickpocketing robberies in Bryant Park.

The individuals’ crime spree began in late November, with incidents still being reported as late as last week.

According to police, the individuals’ modus operandi is quite consistent, with an unidentified individual crashing into a victim and stealing her phone, credit card or MetroCard, or a combination of all three, without her knowledge.

The New York City Police Department reports that one such incident occurred on Nov. 20, followed by four on Nov. 24, two on Nov. 25, one on Nov. 28, one on Dec. 1, two the next day, and seven incidents reported on 3 December.

The events occurred at all hours of the day, with the victims aged between 18 and 67 years.

Police have released a photo of people allegedly involved in the Nov. 20 incident.

Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
