Julio Alcántara Santiago and Christian García, NYPD officers, were accused of sexually abusing a drunk woman by taking her from a bar to an apartment in the Bronx (NYC) while they were off duty.
Officers Alcántara (40) and García (32) are facing several charges, including sexual abuse, sexual misconduct and forced touching for the alleged crime that happened last year. Both were charged yesterday and suspended without payhe announced ABC News.
According to court records, the 36-year-old unidentified victim was allegedly seen leaving the “Zona de Cuba” bar in Melrose drunk by off-duty officers last July. Surveillance video captured García and Alcántara taking the woman out by the armsmarked News 12.
Moments later the two were seen pulling her out of a car while she appeared to be unconscious. They then proceeded to take her to 790 Grand Concourse Avenue, where the victim says she was abused. Although The woman says she doesn’t remember when she left the bar, she said she woke up in bed and she got the two officers on top of her.

All charges are only allegations and those accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
