NEW YORK – An NYPD police officer and four other individuals were arrested Monday morning on federal charges of conspiracy to import and distribute cocaine, law enforcement sources told our sister network NBC New York.
The police officer, assigned to the 113th precinct, was arrested by the FBI at his home on Long Island and will appear along with the other defendants in federal court in Brooklyn later Monday, the sources said.
Details of the investigation and charges are expected to be released by the Brooklyn United States Attorney’s office on Monday.
