NYPD Investigating 3 Mysterious Deaths in Queens and Brooklyn

Three people died in suspicious circumstances over the weekend in New York Cityincluding a 77-year-old woman who was found with multiple bruises.

Elenora Bernard, mother of a former Brooklyn Borough Presidential candidatewas found dead with several blows to the body.

The NYPD responded to a 911 call on Saturday and went to the East Flatbush apartment to find the woman covered in “bruises and swelling throughout her body,” a statement said.

“She had some injuries to her body indicative of being assaulted,” an NYPD spokesman said.

It was added that Bernard had bruises all overincluding under the chin and lip, in the left eye, in the upper part of the chest and in the right ankle and calf, The New York Post managed to confirm.

The woman even had swelling in both hands, a broken left arm and abrasions on her back.

Bernard was the mother of Khari Edwards, who is running for borough president in 2021, but he didn’t want to talk, the Post said.

A young man who lived with Mrs. Bernard, whom she took in a few months ago for unknown reasons, is suspected.

In another of the mysterious cases, a man was found dead with multiple cuts and a stab wound. He was found on his kitchen floor at 1647 Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush on Sunday afternoon.

En Flushing, A 34-year-old man was found dead in the living room of his apartment. at 143-33 Sanford Ave. He was face down, police said.

All three cases remain under investigation.
