A man armed with a knife was shot and killed by New York City police in Brooklyn early Monday morning.
Authorities responded to a call around 4:20 a.m. about a man with a gun in 1090 Eastern Parkway. When they arrived, the officers confronted a suspect with a knife who attacked them and the police opened fire.
It is unclear how many bullets hit the man who was later transported to Kings County Hospital, where he later died, according to a police chief at the scene.
The man has not been identified and no other information was immediately available.
