A exposition appeared in the Percheron landscape as part of a contemporary Ornais summer. After a visit to the Saint-Julien chapel in Petit-Quevilly last November, Isabelle Senly, sculptresswill present his creations at the St. Andrew’s crypt of Mortagne-au-Perche (Orne) from June 11 to July 17, 2022.

A passion that requires time
“I started my first piece 20 years ago. Today, I continue to create them”, says Isabelle. This exhibition is the work of a lifetime for someone who has always wanted to express her art in her own way.
These are 4 groups, each made up of around 25 sculptures which will be highlighted with plays of light during an extraordinary experience.
The artist, originally from Normandy, returned to her native land after having lived 30 years in Paris. She also wishes to invest herself more in the cultural life of Normandy. His works are made with resin paper, a very complex material that takes a long time to manipulate.
–“To make a work, I take about a month full time,” explains Isabelle about the complexity of her creations.
A place steeped in history
The choice of the crypt is not trivial, because it was built in 1203 by the Countess of Perche, Mahaut of Bavaria. A detail that holds its importance for the sculptor.
This crypt has a particular story, and that’s what I’m looking for. I like to invest the places in which I exhibit, it gives life and meaning to my works.
