Nylon Beat returns – 2024-03-02 09:54:02

The Nylon Beat group will make a comeback in June after a six-year hiatus.

The return gig of the Nylon Beat band will be seen in June in Helsinki. The new two-day Helsinki City Festival will be held on the 14th-15th. June at Töölö’s Bolt Arena.

Jonna Geagea and Erin Anttila left the joint performance stages in Helsinki in July 2018. The duo’s most loved hits include Last, Teflon Love, I fell in love with a loser and A loan of a hundred.

Six years ago, Nylon Beat called it quits after doing one summer-long festival tour after an 11-year hiatus. Both Jonna and Erin have both established solo careers after their active years in Nylon Beat.

Jonna said in an interview with Ilta-Sanomi in August that she is now studying to become a chef.

– The chef’s job is to be creative and artistic. Especially if you’re the head chef, then you plan everything, Jonna commented to Ilta-Sanom.

However, this is not a change of industry. Jonna told Ilta-Sanom that she will continue working in music in the future, as the chef’s studies are just one project among other projects.

In addition to the return of Nylon Beat, Helsinki City Festival’s lineup of performers will feature more than 40 domestic and foreign artists. Among others, DJ producer Robin Schulz, Haloo Helsinki, Apulanta and Gettomasa will be performing.
