NYC to Increase Residential Vaccination for New Yorkers

During his daily conference, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio vowed to keep New Yorkers informed about the results of the primary election.

He announced that the municipal government will increase efforts for residential vaccination that will now be available to all New Yorkers who request it at: nyc.gov/homevaccine

De Blasio broadcast, live, from Coney Island Hospital the application of the millionth dose, administered by the public health system Health + Hospitals.

By retaking the initiative New York City Cleanup Corps that seeks to beautify and keep neighborhoods clean, the hiring of 3,300 employees for this cleaning service was confirmed.

As for the new indicators used to measure progress in the fight against coronavirus, the most recent data showed:

  • Number of positive cases admitted to hospitals: 74 (16%)
  • Number of hospitalizations per 100,000 population, 7-day median (NYS): 0.31
  • COVID-19 reported cases, 7-day average: 171
  • Percentage of patients who tested positive, 7-day average: 0.54%
