NEW YORK – On the occasion of National Gun Violence Awareness Day and the start of Wear Orange weekend, Students Demand Action in New York City will hold school marches to demand action about gun safety.
In light of the recent gun violence and mass shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde, students across the country have been mobilizing to protest gun violence and call on lawmakers to take meaningful action to address the state’s gun violence crisis. country.
During the New York City demonstrations, students are expected to leave classrooms around 1:30 pm and march to Battery Park to join forces in the March For Our Lives event.
