NYC Releases its Public Schools Calendar for the 2022-2023 School Year – NBC New York (47)

The city’s Department of Education (DOE) published the 2022-2023 school calendar on Tuesday, which includes about two dozen days off between the first day of school, Thursday, September 8, and the last day of school on Tuesday, September 27. June 2023.

The calendar allows time off for various holidays, spanning Jewish holy days including Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and week-long breaks for winter break, mid-winter break, and spring break, including Christmas, Easter, Good Friday and Easter.

The school calendar also allows time off for Italian Heritage/Indigenous People’s Day (Dia de la Columbus), Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Fallen and June 16, as well as Election Day on November 8, 2022.

Parent-teacher conference dates for elementary, middle, and high schools are also posted on the calendar.
