NYC records its lowest rate of infections in 6 months

Mayor de Blasio confirmed that the figure of 2.41%, registered in the 7-day average of the contagion rate in the city, is the lowest in the last six months.

The city registered 926 new cases on Thursday, with 110 new hospitalizations.

While the state’s infection rate has dropped to 1.22%.

During Thursday, there were 2,300 tests out of a total of almost 195,000 that came back positive.

There are currently 2,200 people hospitalized with COVID-19 statewide.

And it was 25 New Yorkers who died this Friday from complications from the coronavirus.
