Every year since 1970, New York City has turned to the colors of the rainbow for NYC Pride. This iconic event is more than just a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s an explosion of color, pride and diversity that fills the streets of Manhattan, highlighting the importance of love, identity and equality for all. NYC Pride has become a symbol of resistance, solidarity and progress, bringing together thousands of people from all over the world to share a unique and unforgettable experience.
When will the NYC Pride March 2023 take place?
The NYC Pride March will take place on Sunday, June 25, 2023, starting at noon.
What is this year’s theme?
“Strength in Solidarity”. For event organizers:
“In a world where hate and violence are everywhere celebrated on social media, NYC Pride wants to highlight all the positive that can be achieved by supporting each other. Fear and intimidation only serve to isolate and diminish the effort of communities. But when individuals unite, the strength in solidarity is truly limitless”.
Who are the “great representatives”?
This year, we count the actor Billy Porterthe asexual activist Yasmin Benoitle “Chief of Staff at Athlete Ally” AC Dumlao, the activist Hope Giselle and civil rights pioneer Randolfe “Randy” Wicker. The actress Angelica Ross will return for the third time as a co-host.
