NYC police union claims agent’s personal vehicle was set on fire – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – A New York City police union informed its members Wednesday that an officer’s personal vehicle may have been intentionally set on fire.

The Police Benevolent Association said they believed the police car that was parked on Surf Avenue in Coney Island was attacked because it displayed an NYPD parking placard.

No one has been arrested in the incident.

Separately, the PBA said more vehicles owned by officers were damaged in the 90th district in Williamsburg. Two cars had their rear windows broken overnight Wednesday, according to the union.

One person was arrested in that incident. The suspect’s motive is unclear and no further information was available.
