NEW JERSEY – New York City-run vaccine sites began offering COVID vaccines to children ages 5 to 11 for the first time Thursday, and even with financial incentives.

Two days after the CDC approved Pfizer’s COVID vaccine for emergency use among children ages 5 to 11, and the first day those newly eligible children can receive the dose at city-administered vaccine sites, officials they are urging parents in every way, including that their children be immediately eligible for the city’s incentive program.

“Everyone can use a little more money during the holidays, but the most important thing is that we want our children and our families to be safe,” said the mayor.
