NEW JERSEY – New Jersey and New York each reported about 2,000 positive coronavirus cases Saturday, a total number of cases per day that had not been reported in either of these states since May, data collected from each show.
Saturday marked the seventh consecutive day that the Garden State reported more than 1,000 cases after the daily count was 1,994 cases, Gov. Phil Murphy tweeted. The last report of his status increased by 855 from the previous day, an increase of almost 75 percent.
