NVS Health Organization Offers Free Home Therapy and Support to Elderly for Mental Health

Talking about mental health is almost taboo for many adults, who sometimes suffer in silence from depression and anxiety.

For this reason, the NVS Health organization created the Pearls program that provides therapy and support to the elderly free of charge and at home.

The program is funded by the New York Department of Health and is for people 55 and older.

“Many people face challenges such as depression, anxiety, substance use problems, and trauma throughout their lives,” notes the Department of Mental Health.

“These are topics that people don’t usually talk about. People experiencing behavioral and mental health problems may avoid seeking help, and their family members and carers may not know who to turn to.”

Those interested can contact the association to receive the support that consists of talks with counselors who can provide support to overcome your problems.

The telephone number to request this support is 1-718-888-6884.
