NVIDIA chefs important changes for its GeForce Now cloud service. Very soon, all users will be limited to 100 game hours per month, and additional time must be paid separately – regardless of the type of membership you have.
GeForce Now currently has three plans to choose from. The free option lets you play for an hour at a time, while the Performance subscription gives you access to 1440p graphics and six-hour sessions. Well, the Ultimate End even lets you play on a virtual RTX 4080 with support for 4K at 120 FPS or 1080p at 240 FPS, and sessions last up to eight hours.
However, if you already have a paid subscription or manage to sign up for it before the end of 2024, you don’t have to worry – the old terms will still be in effect until 2026. The main thing is the subscription you update in time. But for starters, after hundreds of hours, you have to fork out: 15 more hours will cost $2.99 for Performance and $5.99 for Ultimate.
NVIDIA believes that such a step will help keep prices at current levels. Furthermore, according to their data, 100 hours a month – that’s three hours a day – is more than enough for 94% of players. And 15 unused hours will carry over to the next month, however, only for paid subscribers.
