At CES 2024, Nvidia shared a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Half-Life 2 RTX remaster.
Nvidia announced Half-Life 2 RTX at Gamescom last year, where it was confirmed that members of the Half-Life 2 community were working together to create an RTX remaster of Valve’s critically acclaimed first-person shooter.
Half-Life 2 RTX will use Nvidia technologies including hardware ray tracing, Nvidia Reflex, RTX IO and third-generation DLSS. This remaster is made possible by RTX Remix, a modding toolkit announced by Nvidia in 2022 that will be released in beta later this month.
Half-Life 2 RTX is the third game to take advantage of RTX Remix, joining two previous titles including Portal RTX and Portal: Prelude RTX.
