Nvidia RTX 3080 FE appears to have been out of stock at release – Computer – News

The Founders Edition of the Nvidia RTX 3080 does not appear to have been in stock anywhere. Many potential buyers were ready to purchase the graphics card at three o’clock Dutch time, but apparently nobody or hardly anyone succeeded.

Of Dutch product page of the RTX 3080 has been showing for about three hours that the Founders Edition is not in stock, while it should have been available at that time. In other countries, the status of the card had also been ‘not in stock’ for three hours, according to users in a Reddit thread. Tweaker lt_cmd_data says on the forum that the company claims there would be a malfunction on Nvidia’s website.

The Founders Edition of the RTX 3080 was supposed to be available Thursday, but it is unknown how much stock Nvidia really has. The stock of other cards at other web shops also seems limited: many shops say they cannot deliver. Nvidia has not responded yet.

The RTX 3080 is the first of the new generation of Nvidia cards to go on sale. The more expensive RTX 3090 and cheaper RTX 3070 will follow later. Tweakers published one on Wednesday review of the RTX 3080.
