Kopite7kimi has confirmed the specifications for two upcoming Blackwell graphics cards – the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. According to the internals, the RTX 5090 features a 512-bit memory bus, no e the 448-bit memory bus as previously mentioned. The RTX 5090 will also come with 32GB of GDDR7 memory.

Blackwell’s flagship gaming model is expected to use a GB202-300 GPU with 21,760 FP32 (CUDA) cores, which is less than the 24,576 cores of the full-featured chip (13% reduction). Additionally, the card is rumored to have a 600W specification, although the distributor has not confirmed whether this is TBP or TGP, as both could refer to different numbers.
Interestingly, although the power has increased from 450W to 600W, it is said that the card still comes with a 2-slot cooler (Founders Edition). This likely means that NVIDIA is using some sort of custom cooling design, possibly a liquid cooler.

Similarly, the leak also revealed the specifications of the RTX 5080, a GB203-400-based model that is said to feature 10,752 CUDA cores. The card is also expected to come with 16GB of GDDR7 memory and a 256-bit memory bus.
It is worth noting that the specifications of the GB203 are roughly half those of the GB202, and this also applies to the width of the memory bus. It turns out that the card consumes 400W of power, which is higher than the 320W RTX 4080. It is worth noting that, since this model already uses the GB203-400 GPU, this means full GPU specification.
It looks like a SUPER upgrade will already be possible using the GB202 GPU and a wider bus. In other words, the 5080 SUPER can support more memory.
NVIDIA has not confirmed when the new RTX 50 series will be released, but many believe that the announcement could happen this year.
