Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 Rumors: GDDR7 Video Memory with 28 Gbps Bandwidth Leak

Rumors about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 specifications are gaining momentum, and the next generation of graphics cards could be equipped with faster GDDR7 video memory. According to reports, this particular configuration will outperform current models with speeds of up to 28 Gbps, but insiders seem to be having trouble deciding on a specific bus width.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 has dominated the market since 2022, and given the past release schedule, we could see a new wave of GPUs later this year. This is why there have been more and more rumors about the RTX 5000 lately, with insider talk currently focused on memory speed.

The latest RTX 5000 leak comes from leaker Kopite7kimi, who says the next-gen lineup will use GDDR7 VRAM chips with 28 Gbps bandwidth. In comparison, cards like the RTX 4090 and up to the GeForce RTX 4070 feature GDDR6X memory, which is limited to 24 Gbps. Keep in mind that the configuration suggested by these rumors does not represent the maximum speeds of GDDR7, as the standard could theoretically reach 48 Gbps, leaving room for even higher-end Blackwell cards.

At this point, it seems logical that the next generation of Nvidia graphics cards will have even greater memory capabilities, leading to configurations capable of handling even higher quality textures and huge scenes. However, sources have not yet disclosed the tire width. And the amount of memory on board, as well as the potential of the card in various applications, may depend on this.

Nvidia has not yet revealed when it plans to announce a new generation of video cards for gamers.
