The insider reports that the GeForce RTX 3080 in the benchmarks of “3D Mark Time Spy Extreme” would have reached about 8600 points. The test is designed for graphics cards that enable 4K resolutions under DirectX 12. For comparison: the current counterpart, the RTX 2080, achieved about 5000 points in the test mentioned. The leap in performance becomes particularly clear with the stronger card.
Accordingly, the GeForce RTX 3090 scored almost 10,000 points in the test. The predecessor, the RTX 2080 Ti, achieved 6300 points here. So far, of course, this has only been supposed inside information. Nvidia has not yet released any official data or facts about the next generation of graphics cards.
