FE cards are never widely available, the fact that this card is (was) not available in the Netherlands is not correct, this card has been for sale several times at the Dutch Nvidia shop, see also the Tweakers topic about this, at the prices mentioned here. And yes, the demand is many times greater than the supply, but these cards are ‘just’ released in the Netherlands and yes, also at the stated price. This does not detract from the fact that availability is a shit show, but the release, also in NL, has indeed taken place, with available maps.
What has happened is that after complaints from customers about scalping, Nvidia stopped selling RTX 3000 series cards through its own webshop in certain countries, making these cards even more difficult to obtain in the EU, until Nvidia starts again with this sale via its own website.
In addition, you should keep in mind that there may be multiple ‘suggested retail prices’, an MSRP (suggested retail price) quoted by Nvidia only applies to their own cards.
AIBs also set their own prices for their own cards, these can be below the Nvidia suggested retail price, equal to that suggested retail price or (far) above.
All in all, you can use Nvidia’s suggested retail price in reviews, but only for their own cards. If you are reviewing a 3rd party model, you should also use the price of that 3rd party card for price / performance data, for example.
