Jakarta: NVIDIA Broadcast, a live streaming and video conferencing support application capable of creating studios at home today announced two features in the form of effects, Eye Contact and Vignette, enhanced Virtual Background and more.
Broadcast activities or live streaming broadcasts are very popular with contributions doubling the number of active NVIDIA Broadcast users in the past year. Now, in collaboration with more than 20 NVIDIA partners, they are integrating the effects in NVIDIA Broadcast into their applications.
NVIDIA Broadcast is now pre-installed on several laptop series from the Acer, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Lenovo, and Razer brands. Users will get support for AI capabilities in the microphone, webcam, and speaker features on their devices.
The latest update of the Virtual Background effect is also available right away in some of our favorite apps including OBS, Streamlabs, and the Elgato Camera Hub. The NVIDIA Broadcast application can be downloaded via the following link free for users of graphics cards or laptops with GeForce RTX.
AI capabilities in the Eye Contact Feature
This feature makes the eyes or eye contact of the source or the person who is the focus of the live stream seen staring at the camera. So they will not be known when they are glancing at reading the script or while doing other activities such as playing games while live streaming.
What do you think about this article?
The AI capability in the Eye Contact feature on NVIDIA Broadcast intelligently and intelligently reads the eye movements of people in front of the camera while still showing true-to-life eye blinks.
Nobody will be able to notice this, because the AI in the Eye Contact feature makes the user’s eyes look very natural. Likewise with the movement from the actual eye gaze to the Eye Contact effect in action.
The Eye Contact feature will be very helpful for content creators because they can maintain eye contact with the audience, while still doing other activities in front of the camera.
Vignette and Virtual Background Effects
These two features are said to be similar to the filter effect on Instagram. Vignette is to give a stronger color effect to broadcast videos. Here, the AI capabilities of Background Blur are also added, presenting a bokeh effect so that the focus on the people in the video becomes stronger.
NVIDIA has also made improvements to the Blur, Replacement, and Removal Virtual Background effects to provide segmentation and stability for AI performance in making decisions.
For example, when using Virtual Background mode, the AI in NVIDIA Broadcast will intelligently take care that no original background suddenly appears on the screen due to imperfect virtual background effects.
NVIDIA Broadcast now also features features that have been requested by the community, namely mirror effects and taking screenshots directly from the webcam. All of these features can be checked in the Camera section.
NVIDIA Broadcast Can Be Integrated into All Applications
Not only for broadcasters or live streamers, NVIDIA Broadcast updates can also be integrated by developers into their applications relying on a software development kit (SDK) called Maxine.
The Maxine SDK from NVIDIA Broadcast already contains the latest features that were also announced at CES 2023, including the features mentioned above. NVIDIA opens cooperation and consulting for developers who want to integrate NVIDIA Broadcast features into their applications.
