Nvidia has launched a new video calling platform with the name Nvidia Maxine. The graphics card maker claims that the platform’s AI can solve some of the most common video calling problems.
Calls are processed in the cloud, so no advanced software is required. Call quality is improved with the help of artificial intelligence. Maxine can recognize the faces and expressions of callers and readjust them so that they are always looking straight into the camera. The company also claims to provide good resolution, noise canceling and re-exposure of the face.
Face-to-face
According to the manufacturer, video calling should feel more like a face-to-face call. That could be a good move, now that video calling and remote working are increasingly part of our daily lives.
