The new cards are called RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super. It is not a brand new card built on a different architecture than the models from the GeForce RTX 40 series offered so far, but a younger, improved version with enhanced performance.
At the same time, graphics marked Super will replace their predecessors. In other words, this means that the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 cards (without the Super designation) will only be resold in stores until stocks run out.
We deliberately did not mention the RTX 4070 card in the lines above, because it is the only one that will remain on sale even after the improved RTX 4070 Super version goes on sale. Of course, a card without the Super label will be slightly cheaper.

More attractive prices
But it is the prices that are the key improvement in the case of new cards. For example, the RTX 4080 Super model will offer a performance increase of only about three percent compared to the older RTX 4080 version. But the price should drop by about 20% for the newer model.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super card will offer a higher performance increase compared to its predecessor. The manufacturer helped himself with a trick when he used a core from the more powerful RTX 4080 graphics. Thanks to this, the memory size increased from 12 to 16 GB, while a wider bus is also available, namely 256 bits instead of 192. Underlined, in summary: the performance increased by about ten percent.
For the RTX 4070 Super graphics, which closes the trefoil of news, Nvidia promises a performance increase of 15% compared to its predecessor. Allegedly, this card should be more powerful than the older RTX 3090 flagship. However, we will have to wait for some time before the new cards are officially sold and the first real tests are available for real-world experience.

Sales launches for new cards are planned in waves. First, the RTX 4070 Super will be offered on January 17, with prices starting at CZK 16,499, a week later on January 24, the RTX 4070 Ti Super will arrive with a price starting at CZK 22,199.
Potential buyers will have to wait until the last day of January for the GeForce RTX 4080 Super card. Prices will start at CZK 27,699.
However, new cards will traditionally be offered in stores by large manufacturers who will modify them in their own image. They may thus have improved cooling compared to reference models from Nvidia, or may already be overclocked from the factory. The price of such cards will easily increase by several thousand crowns.
The most powerful graphics remain unconquered
Despite the arrival of the new products, it must be emphasized that the most powerful graphics in the offer remains the RTX 4090 model. To better understand the performance of this model: in games with full ray-tracing, the RTX 4090 is 3 to 4 times faster compared to the RTX 3090 when DLSS is turned on Those of the previous generation and DLSS 2. According to the manufacturer, it is also up to twice as fast in current games while maintaining the same 450W consumption.
RTX 4090 is the fastest gaming graphics in the world, it has 76 billion transistors, 16,384 CUDA cores and 24 GB of high-speed Micron GDDR6X memory. It consistently delivers more than 100 frames per second when playing games at 4K resolution.
